Our Worship and Creative Arts teams consist of people who are sold out to the vision of City Church – Sunshine Coast. Our heart cries out to see God’s unmerited
favour poured out on all nations.
We not only usher in the presence of God but we know  that we are empowered for such a time as this to use music and creativity to see  people  come  to  know  the  King.
We  believe  that  joining the Worship and Creative  Arts  is  not  just  about using the talents God has given us but also expressing the heart beat of City Church. It is a privilege to serve in God’s house. If you have been attending City Church – Sunshine Coast

DAMON AND BECK'S TESTIMONY

HOUSE FOR SALE

Well it all started when we sold our first home in Bli Bli.  We bought our 2nd house back in early 2008 with a lot of ideas & prospects to sub-divide the large block of Land in North Buderim.  We believed it to be a God thing that we were actually able to buy this property but sometimes it's hard to see past your own desires or wants.  It's definitely been a learning curve for us through this journey.  We do still believe it to be a God thing.

We started renovating, cutting holes out in walls, installing a brand new Kitchen (because that's what I do) & so on.  It wasn't easy servicing the Loan repayments but our short term plans would see our debt reduced back to a manageable size. After more research, the Sub-division concept fell by the way side as it was going to be a very expensive exercise with little return.  So, Months & Months later, we decided to have a baby & Beck became pregnant.  Then Beck stopped working as she had reached her third trimester in the pregnancy, so we lost her weekly income.  Relying solely on my income became immediately tough on us, especially with the baby on the way & medical bills associated with it.  So we decided to sell the house.  Not the best time to be selling especially in this economic climate.  But we went ahead anyway, believing that Our God would make a way where there isn't a way.

When we listed our house for sale, we put some money towards advertising & had lined up open house inspections.  Our first open house saw a record amount of people through (according to our real estate agent).  We signed our first contract which fell through (2) days later.  Bummer...  After numerous contracts falling through & more advertising we were starting to get dis-heartened with it all & explored the option of renting the house & keeping it a bit longer.  All the time Beck & I were praying & thanking God for the sale of the house.  Because of my indecision as to what to do with the house, I believe that it was hindering our prayers & what God could do.  We then ran into issues with our Home Loan & getting out of the contract with break costs which we didn't have the money for.

Once Beck & I agreed on what we thought was the best option & agreed in prayer, we had people through the house that said it was exactly what they wanted.  The offer they put to us was the best one anyone had put forward.  We signed the contract; everything has gone through without a hitch.  The house went unconditional last Monday, 14th July, so it's SOLD...!!!  Praise God.  Now we can focus on the baby & will be more financially free to give more to our church & bless those around us...  Thank-you God...!!!
